Lab visits

In order to provide intensive training to pre-doctoral and post-doctoral students research labs organize one-week-long lab visits to a group of six students arriving from other countries.

During this week the students

• receive theoretical and practical education,
• can observe how to apply the methods used in the visited lab,
• can participate in experiments on the species studied there,
• can present their work and have meetings and discussions of all members (students and researchers) of the lab.

In this way the visiting students directly meet the species, methodology, terminology and theoretical background of the visited lab in the form of an intensive course and direct interactions with colleagues.

CompCog supports 10 lab visits via covering the costs of 6 students participating in each.
